There is something so magical about dawn and dusk colors.

For just a few moments, they can stop us in our tracks and completely transform the world around us.

In my latest collection inspired by Claude Monet’s work, a series of journals carries that same feeling of wonder and magic captured at dusk on his beloved Lily Pond.

A different season is beginning inside the studio. ✨

For the next couple of weeks, my days will be filled with preparing what comes next. Cutting watercolor paper, trimming binder boards, organizing fabrics, and slowly planning the Summer Collection that will arrive in July.

Before that, ShadowLight Binding will take a short studio pause starting in June.

So if there’s an art journal currently in the shop that you’ve been thinking about, this is a wonderful time to take another look before the break.

This collection took me quite a while to bring together, and it became one of my favorite collections I’ve ever created.

These are the last 12 journals available.

Each one is hand bound with artist-grade, 100% cotton watercolor paper including Fabriano Artistico, Arches, and Saunders Waterford, in a variety of formats and paper textures.

The “Winter Collection” is entering its final stages, and today I’m sharing a small behind-the-scenes look at the closures.

Some books will have elastic closures in different styles, and one will feature SLB magnetic clasp — a great detail that always feels special to craft.
