If you’ve ever wandered through the streets of Bari Vecchia, chances are you’ve seen Nunzia handcrafting orecchiette the traditional way. Watching her work has become an iconic part of the city’s culture, and as someone whose family is from nearby Mola di Bari, it was such a special moment to finally meet her in person.

I can’t wait to see her again when I’m back in Bari.

Happy National Olive Day! 🫒🇮🇹

One of our favorite simple snacks is a bowl of Castelvetrano olives paired with taralli.

We tossed these olives with a little lemon extra virgin olive oil, and they were absolutely delicious.

It’s a simple reminder that some of the best Italian flavors don’t need much at all.
