The Brooklyn Women’s Exchange, founded in 1854, is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run shop, supporting independent craftspeople from Brooklyn and beyond. Located in the heart of the beautiful historic neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, the Exchange sells unique items lovingly handcrafted by local artisans. These one-of-a-kind treasures can often be custom-ordered to create an extra-special gift. Of every dollar spent on a handcrafted item, 70 cents goes directly to the crafter.

An evening that’s equal parts inspiring and just plain fun

No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to learn a new craft.
