Sarah Larson
MISS SUNBELT EXPO RODEO QUEEN
Age: 23
Leesburg, GA
Sarah Larson, of Leesburg, Georgia, reigns as Miss Sunbelt Expo Rodeo Queen. She has a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and plans to pursue a Masters in Agricultural Leadership to continue to provide a quality agricultural education program to young learners. As a member of the Georgia Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association, American Ranch Horse Association and several state charters, and Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority, Sarah firmly believes in the future of agriculture and preserving our western heritage through education and advocacy. In her role as a teacher, Sarah has coached many students in agricultural communications, floral design, veterinary science, horse evaluation, poultry evaluation and several other Career Development Events through the National FFA Organization. When time allows, Sarah enjoys spending time with her two younger brothers through fishing, hunting, and other outdoor sports. Sarah approaches all responsibilities in life with an eucharistic attitude; her personal motto of “living eucharisteo” was instilled in her by a dear friend and mentor at a young age. To give thanks and live gratefully in all things is how Sarah aims embrace every triumph and tribulation she faces in life. It is an attitude many rodeo cowboys and cowgirls, farmers, ranchers, and agriculturalists share. Sarah believes it is truly a blessing to have been given stewardship of this great earth and that the soil trembling beneath hooves, the waters cooling herds of livestock, and every moment spent with such mighty animals is one which we must always cherish.
