A favorite quilt, an old tin can, some decoupage and wooly branches are perfect with this finished pumpkin.

They measure about 11” across. Yes, that is a real pumpkin stem!

Frank just loves everything Fall. He and Ted had quite a time last year gathering and harvesting their most loved crops and have been urging me to be preparing this year’s Autumn offerings! Of course I had to jump right in! What would be your favorite size? Small? Teeny (even smaller than small”? Medium, large or jumbo??

I can’t think of much that I enjoy more than transforming fabric. I wanted these bedspreads to have an aged, well loved look. After I removed the hand tied fringe and hem I gave them a warm bath is a mixture of coffee and tea. I couldn’t leave any of the pieces behind and even dyed the threads that were left after tearing it. I will figure out a use! I had purchased the little doilies to embellish some fall decor and they went in the pot as well. After they were all finished and dye still in the pot, my eye landed on an old piece of rustic silk that I have had for years. So in the pot it went. I dried that in the oven on a low temperatures, turning often to get a really dark mottled look. This is going to be a really fun week creating! I thought they were both chenille but after researching the tag info I found out that one was actually woven to create the raised motifs. It is absolutely delightful!

The smell of beeswax filled the house today. I was pouring molds to make, yes I know it’s hard to believe, strawberries! I might just even make a few more fabric ones before I switch to fall decor! And who knew strawberries grew on trees! The bee discs make great waxers for your thread!

I was going back through my Facebook memories remembering things I decorated with for the 4th. Some are from my home and others from the shop in Damariscotta. Many I made, but others I purchased. I wanted to share them. Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful holiday.

Cutting, folding and packaging our popular snippet bundles was on yesterday’s to do list! They will get finished today along with cutting pieces for our mega stacks. They are perfect for making pennies. The mega stacks have 50 different 5” square pieces in all sorts of colors and textures. Both of these bundles are washed and ready to use. I substituted a tall jar of ice tea for my regular mug of hot tea today. It is so refreshing when you get up and it’s already in the 80’s and the forecast is saying it will be in the 90’s by 11am.
