There’s something special about walking into a store that doesn’t look like every other store.
The Wh***ey Wrangler has been built piece by piece over the last three years in Brookville and for over 10 years all together from Wyoming to Indiana; so much of what makes this place us has nothing to do with brand-new fixtures or perfectly matched displays.
Our antique furniture has been collected along the way. Old cabinets, wooden crates, tables, trunks and pieces with plenty of history are mixed throughout the store and given a new purpose. We love the warmth and character they bring, and we’re always moving things around, changing displays and finding new ways to use them.
Then we fill those spaces with things we’ve personally chosen—clothing, jewelry, gifts, home goods and seasonal pieces that fit the style of our store. We’re a small business, which means there isn’t a corporate planogram telling us what goes where or a buyer hundreds of miles away deciding what belongs on our racks. We choose it. We display it. We photograph it. We package it. We’re here when you walk through the door.
There are personal touches tucked into nearly every corner because we want this to feel like more than somewhere you stop in, buy something and leave. We want you to wander. Look through the displays. Notice the old pieces. Find something unexpected. And hopefully leave already wondering what we’ll have the next time you come in.
