Made two new soaps last week to get ready for fall🍁

🧡Pumpkin spice soap made with real pumpkin puree and scented with cinnamon, clove and vanilla

🤎Tallow and goat milk soap scented with vanilla, orange and frankincense

3 days of work condensed into 60 seconds…hope y’all enjoy!

If you were wondering here is the tried and true classic recipe. I got this recipe from my fave Rebekah Parr - I’m That Sourdough Gal®
650g filtered water
240g active starter
20g natural sea salt
1000g of organic bread flour (I use King Arthur)

I use my stand mixer for a double batch.
I perform 2 sets of stretch and folds 30-60 min apart and then 2 sets of coil folds 60 min apart.
Total bulk fermentation time takes me 6-8 hrs depending on how hot it is in the house. This batch only took 6 hrs…it’s hotter than Hades here in TX

Final shape and the a cold re**rd overnight in the fridge in a Brød & Taylor banneton.

Next day I bake covered for 47 min in a 450 degree oven then uncovered for about 5 min to get some color. Internal temp should be 205-210

I cool completely before cutting…this is the hardest part!

🩵Made some really beautiful soap this week🩵

🤍I am obsessed with an all white bar and this one is a bastille soap infused with lavender and chamomile

💚The green bar is a lard soap infused with spearmint, eucalyptus, peppermint and green spirulina. I used white soap shavings to give it a confetti effect

All my animal fats are locally sourced and I render it in my home. I use only essential oils and no artificial coloring. I love creating from start to finish
