This concept, derived from the Reggio Emilia approach, involves providing children with materials and inviting them to play! There is little instruction from an adult because it is understood that children learn best through play and exploration. With an invitation to play, the child is left to imagine, think creatively, work independently, explore different textures, and learn! 🧠

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, GHOULS AND GHOSTS! 👻 This Halloween Sensory Kit will allow your kiddo to explore the wonders of Halloween while stretching their creativity and guiding their own spooky adventure. These sensory kits do not come with any instructions, and that is very intentional! Trust your child’s own curiosity and creativity to guide their play. You will be amazed at what they come up with! After your child has finished playing, it becomes a sort of puzzle to reassemble the kit so that it can be brought out another time for an entirely new creative adventure!

Kakie’s Kits are handmade sensory kits that allow kids to explore their senses in a hands-on, child-directed, and fun way! Sensory play is a ton of fun, but it’s also an important part of early childhood development. Sensory play strengthens language development, problem-solving skills, memory, and motor skills. It is also very calming for kids who may feel anxious. Thank you for joining me on this journey as I combine my passions for sensory play, childhood development, and themes. 😉
