The fourth book in the “Fourth Wing” saga is still quite a ways away. Still, its upcoming anthology of in-universe short stories “Threshing Day” is coming out later this month! Búho will be among the dozens of independent bookstores who will be hosting a midnight release party for the occasion, and preorders are open! Preorders will also have goody bags of treats and surprises 👀

There’s a nostalgic yet foreign charm about butterscotch. It isn’t particularly associated with the RGV, but it tastes like it would perfectly belong in our childhoods. It feels like it’s from a land afar, possibly even another time- like 1800’s Massachusetts perhaps.

Introducing the “March Sisters Butterscotch” - the flavorful surprise of Búho’s Fall Menu! Inspired by Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women”, this seasonal drink captures a rich combination of sweet & salty flavors. Just like how you see Meg, Jo, Beth, & Amy March grow up in the town of Concord, MA this chilly beverage contains the sweetness of butterscotch with a little bit of maturity in the form of salted cold foam.

Though it’s more on the “dessert side” relative to the rest of the menu, it’s certainly something special to sweeten up your autumn days while paying tribute to a true American classic. 🍂
