Monday is here, and let’s be honest—we all wish our actual slow-motion train wrecks looked this elegant.

We're leaning into the grit today with an original metal piece from the Museum of Techno Art: "Anatomy of a Slow Motion Train Wreck" by Robert Bolman. This isn't a print—it's a heavy, one-of-a-kind assemblage forged from industrial scrap. Raw, intricate, and built for a wall that needs real texture.

Stop by the shop to see this beauty in person!

If you missed it at the Albany Regional Museum, or just want to look at it again, head to the Philomath Museum’s Moreland Gallery. Nolan Streitberger is featuring his powerful modern tintype photography exhibit retracing Oregon’s 1856 Trail of Tears. Using raw wet-plate processes to document the 330-mile forced march of Indigenous tribes, his work pairs heavy local history with incredible craft.

Go check out the exhibit in person this weekend!

A new Philomath museum exhibit that opens this weekend uses wet-plate photography to document the 1856 forced removal of Native tribes from Southern Oregon.

Some artists wing it—Lori Garcy doesn't! Her original copper pieces blend raw industrial metalwork with insane precision.

We’re lucky to have a selection of her original work at Janky Bird. You can also catch more of her art at the Brownsville Art Association and Gallery Calapooia in Albany.

Stop in to see Lori's copper work up close

Midweek sanity check: you weren't made to sprint through life on full throttle. Step out of the grind, take a breath, and slow things down.

We just restocked the humidor with a fresh haul of premium ci**rs—handpicked for anyone who appreciates real to***co and good conversation. Swing by the shop to pick out a stick and catch up with us before heading over to the Connect Linn County dinner tonight.

Alan Ott’s background in bicycle repair, machining, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering gives him a serious command of metal fabrication—which apparently includes building one spectacularly overqualified pair of cowboy boots.

See Alan’s work alongside creations by fellow Museum of Techno Art members Steve La Riccia, Steve Mast, Neal Conner, Rob Bolman, Ralf Huber, Max Rink, Joe Mross, and Barbora Bakalarova at the opening of Exostoria Mechanica: Lost Fragments tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Janky Bird.
