Worst Week of the Year
Since Saturday, May 24, 2025, I’ve been down with one of the worst migraine headaches I’ve ever experienced. The pain was intense—mostly on the right side of my face and head—with a deep, throbbing sensation that made it unbearable. I ended up spending the entire week in bed, sleeping, which is completely out of character for me. I usually do my best to stay active and fit, but this migraine really knocked me out.
I’ve never been one to take medication or over-the-counter drugs, but the pain kept getting worse. I finally gave in and decided to take Mucinex D along with some allergy medication. Thankfully, the pain was finally relieved, but not before losing a full week in bed.
I’ll admit—I’m upset and disappointed in myself. Maybe it’s just part of getting older, but it was frustrating to feel so helpless.
By Saturday, May 30, 2025, I finally felt better. We headed out for breakfast at Laredo Taqueria on Washington Street. I definitely overate… but I won’t admit how many flour tacos I had (lol).
Later, we went to Memorial Park and got back into the routine with a four-mile walk. It felt good to move again.
I continue to pray for good health and wellness—for myself, my family, and all my friends. Always in my prayers.
Take care of yourself and love yourself. Without good health, nothing else matters. Live every day like it’s your last. Life is too short—spend your money, enjoy life, and cherish each moment. Tomorrow is never promised.
