Ok yall. Second hint for the “friendspiration” shell I’m about to start on.

For the new comers, many new friends sent me pictures of things that they love.

And I am going to create or attempt to create one of the pictures that was sent.

So here’s hint 2 on what I’ve decided on….its not a person, its not a car or dog, its not a flower or a landscape. It does fly…..

I’ve chosen one.
Here is the first hint as I begin and has nothing to do with the carving itself.

Question of the day:

Yes. There are some pieces I like more than others. Take this turtle for instance. I love it!! The simplicity, the minimalist features, and even the natural shell color but what really got me was the lines of this shell actually flow with this turtle. Reminds me of a Guy Harvey painting without the paint.

Someone got their shell today. Won’t call any names but it rhymes with planet burgersun. 👍👍

Morning yall.
Awhile back, during our very first giveaway, I jokingly held up a shell with a sharpie drawn cross and called it the “winning shell.” 😂

It wasn’t fancy. It wasn’t carved. It wasn’t worth anything except a laugh.

I told everyone my buddy Kenton had made it, and at the end of the video I asked if anyone wanted it.

She was the first to respond. 🙏

This morning I received this photo.

The shell is sitting in her home collection, and she even framed the little note that came with it.

Just a reminder that blessings aren’t always found in beauty, perfection, or expensive things.

Sometimes they’re found in tiny acts of kindness.

A simple shell.
A handwritten note.
A moment of connection.

Nothing could make me happier than starting my day with an email like this.

Thank you, Jana, for reminding me that what we create isn’t always what people remember.

Sometimes it’s how we made them feel. ❤️

Finished up a humming bird on a smaller shell today. Kinda bummed that my bigger ones didn’t get here today but I’m pretty happy with this little guy.

Alright, let’s have a little fun this coming week.

I’m going to create a shell inspired by one of YOU. (And your photo you send).

Here’s how it works:

1️⃣ Post a photo of something that’s special to you in the comments.

2️⃣ It can be a pet, a favorite place, a boat, a truck, a hobby, a piece of nature, or just something that makes you smile.

3️⃣ No food photos. I know some of y’all are already reaching for pictures of cheeseburgers and biscuits. Ain’t doin food….

I will pick one of your photos.

Over the next few days, I’ll be posting little “guess what I’m carving” snippets as the project comes to life.

On a slightly more serious note, Jesus and the Cross will always be my greatest passion and inspiration. This challenge is simply about sharing some of the other things God has blessed us to enjoy along the way.

That’s it. No long stories needed. Just post a photo of something that’s special to you and let’s see where the inspiration takes us.
