Before Tontine Mall became the place you know today, this spot was home to something pretty grand: the Tontine Hotel.

Picture this: late 1800s, Brunswick. The Tontine Hotel was one of the most prestigious hotels in Maine. Travelers from all over came to stay here. It was THE place to be, a real landmark that put Brunswick on the map. The hotel was elegant, welcoming, a hub of activity and community connection.

Sound familiar? 😊

Even though that building is long gone, the spirit of what made it special - a place where people gathered, where memories were made, where the community came together - that spirit lives on right here. Tontine Mall carries that legacy forward.
