Grace Graffiti is a local and online business with a working studio in historic Downtown Brunswick, Georgia. Our online shop www.gracegraffiti.com is open and available 24/7. I live in the sleepy town of Brunswick, Georgia right on the Atlantic coast. I love the South, the humidity, and the sand. I spend my days raising two wild boys and one little lady, married to a man who can make almost anything, I’m covered in saw dust and paint 90% of the time. I don’t mind it though, because it is such an honor knowing that our products are helping you! Our goal is to help your life and events become a little brighter, a little sweeter, and a little more memorable. We are committed to making quality wooden products from scratch. From the first sketch of pencil lead to the last piece of tape on the box, we create, make and ship our products straight from our studio in Historic Downtown Brunswick. Behind the Scenes • Part 3

Some projects start on a screen. Others start with a paintbrush and a blank canvas tote. These custom Brunswick Heart bags are being painted by hand, one at a time, right here in the studio. It’s a little slower and a little therapeutic…it’s exactly the kind of process that makes every piece feel personal.

Behind the Scenes: Part 2

I needed a couple of dress forms to show off our Brunswick T-shirts, but I couldn’t bring myself to buy the pricey ones online. So I headed over to Pinterest for some DIY help and recruited Emily Eloise to be my model. Then I gathered the materials I have in excess- packing tape, old pillows and t-shirts, cardboard & paint. Then I turned on a Mark Wahlberg movie to distract Emily from not being able to take a deep breath while she was taped up. 😂

Result? Custom dress forms for less than $10! The only purchase I made was Mod Podge.

Are they perfect? Nope.

Did they do exactly what we needed them to do? Absolutely.

Behind the Scenes at Grace Graffiti | Part 1

Grace Graffiti has always been built on a DIY mindset. Since opening in 2010, we’ve been bootstrapping this little business every step of the way, always looking for creative ways to do more with less.

So, is it any surprise that during the slower summer months, you’ll find me hand-painting our logo on shopping bags instead of ordering expensive custom stickers?

It may seem like a small thing, but little decisions like this help us keep our overhead low—which means we can continue offering quality products at prices that are accessible for our customers.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes moments and the everyday decisions that keep Grace Graffiti running. The glamorous parts, the messy parts, and everything in between.
