The October 18 Alive After 5 "Pumpkin Extravaganza" and "Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce "Trunk or Treat" event in downtown Bryan was spectacular fun. The weather was incredibly cooperative and downtown Bryan was literally buzzing with activity. If you missed it, here are just a few photos of happenings around the square that evening.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the pumpkin carving contest, and judges Ron and Tami Bergman. Alive After 5 representatives will contact the winners, and they will be announced soon.

Alive After 5 is pleased to be a sponsor of the upcoming "Austin, Texas, to Bryan Tour" featuring Grouchy Like Riley and Bourbon & Beth. These two Austin groups are performing at a number of area locations this week, culminating in a free live show at Bryan's Fountain City Amphitheater on August 21. Tonight, August 19, "Alive After 5" is sponsoring a free live performance of Grouchy Like Riley from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Williams County courthouse bandstand, while Bourbon & Beth will perform from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kora Brew House and Wine Bar. "Alive After 5" Honors Local Military from 5-8 p.m. Tonight!

Downtown Bryan comes "Alive After 5" from 5 to 8 p.m. as we honor those who have served or are currently serving in the military. The event features a military color guard, playing of taps and an address by United States Navy Retired Master Chief Jon Ely. Pick up a map at the Bryan Area Chamber of Commerce and join the Military Trivia contest for a chance to win great prizes.

Mark your calendars for this Thursday's (July 15) "Alive After 5" event in downtown Bryan as we honor those who have served or are currently serving in the military. The event features a military honor guard and rifle salute, playing of taps and an address by United States Navy Retired Master Chief Jon Ely, who will speak about his Navy career and the proposed Bryan High School Wall of Honor recognizing those who have served our country.
