I mistakenly bought what I thought was an American girl Kirsten doll, it turned out to be a just like me American girl doll. Little miss loves her and we named her Katherine. Katherine's backstory (made up by me) is that she is English and her family moved to Texas in the 1830s (pre revolution). So needless to say this dress from pemberley threads is perfect, not to mention it has my name 😂

I used two 1940s simplicity patterns to make the little's outfit for spending the day with Patton's Third Army Living Historians! The fabric for the jacket was a thrift store find.

Had a great time snapping pictures at my favorite place in Houston! The heritage society is not only a great piece of Houston and texas history, it's a fabulous park. The houses range from the 1830's to 1920's, the park itself is actually on the original site of Camp Logan.
