But when it's time to browse ... when you just need to lose yourself in a big bookstore, we are fortunate to have a whole bunch of nearby havens for book lovers.

These Main Line area bookstores have something for every reader, from well-known page-turners to brand-new titles.

A WORLD OF CURIOSITIES, Louise Penny’s latest Three Pines mystery, goes on sale today. As a bonus, we have a very limited number of copies of “The Nature of the Feast,” a booklet of “Recipes from the world of Three Pines,” free with purchase of the new book. (In-store only.) Louise’s novels are magnificent mysteries, written with joy and empathy, sometimes dark (especially this one) but always loving and very human. If you’re already a fan, you need no encouragement to pick this one up immediately. If you haven’t yet experienced Louise’s brilliance, pick up STILL LIFE (the first in the series) or THE MADNESS OF CROWDS (just before this new book, an engrossing and challenging pandemic story).
