During the Dog days of summer, take a few minutes look at your rods and see if you have a loose or missing guide. If so, just drop the rod off Sugar Creek Marina I’ll pick it up and get it repaired for you.

This would be a great day with all the rain around to go out and check your rods and reels. On your rods take a Q-tip and go through each guide. If any cotton is left on the guide, it’s time to get that guide replaced. Do not forget to check the small guide that’s own a bait caster reel. If you need reel work  I know someone that I can refer you to that does great work. 15 years ago today my son Scott Bassett and I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Larry Munson. He was presented a Big Al’S Custom Rod. For several hours, we talked nothing but hunting and fishing. Did not mention Georgia football. We learned Larry’s true love of the outdoors. It’s one experience of many that I have had the opportunity over the years that I will never forget. The rod was made in George’s color and had a picture of Georgia mascot
