So this would be the week, hell week as most of you know we have called it for years. Today would have been day 1 and MY PEEPS WOULD have showed up for me in style. They were faithful and loyal to a fault. I miss them terribly and who knew I would miss this week too. Funny how life works out.... be careful what you wish for!

Good afternoon everyone have you missed me? I have missed all of you. I dont know how well I am going to sit idle but. The first week away from the shop I was sicker than a dog and then last weekend my husband surprised me with one of my lifelong p*eps and a semi retirement party..busy busy weekend for sure. So Tuesday of this past week was my first day alone.... so weird so I started trying to get my Silkweeds Office into my den.. its been an undertaking but I'm getting there. Then this morning I told Billy that I'm kind of lost...lol. I dont know what to do with myself. So I worked in the den some more and then I felt like I needed an instant gratification project so I got out some paint and painted my cellar stairs. I had brought home a almost complete set of stairtreads...yes one is oval... ill fix that at some point. I took up the old ones and the stairs were so bad they had to be painted first and whala!!! New treads... I love easy peasy projects. Tomorrow I am going to start tackling a bigger project...I will post before and afters when I'm done.

People be like: What have you been doing with your first week off from the store.. these pictures should explain my situation. We closed last Tuesday and I promply(Tuesday night) came down sick and I have been being nursed back to health by Stella who thinks she is helping by laying on me, not next to me not behind me...on me. Yes, I am under the orange blanket Bless her little 💕 . Hopefully on the mend, I honestly think my body just said look bitch I've had enough of you running this show ...

So today it is empty!!!! I know Marlene posted pictures already but it is still my journey and The last load home went about 4 pm today. Tomorrow if you see me sitting in the back yard in a camp chair swing in, say hello, visit for a bit, bring your own chair. But if you have to p*e you have to take your shoes off. I dont even have a vacuum there to clean up. I'll be there from about 10 to 1. After that it's my time to say goodbye alone to the last 20 years.

Thank you to all of you that have shopped with us at Silkweeds in the last 20 years, thank you to all my friends that helped year after year to make us look remarkable and I am so blessed to have you all write so many nice things to me. Dont count me out... I just need a break and then maybe just maybe ill make a comeback somehow or in a different way. Time will tell Big hugs and lots of love to you all. Keep watching this page and I'll throw you a video here and there just to remind you how to swear and roll your eyes. 😆 🤣 😂
