Wee Gallery! As Surya and Dave, the founders of Wee Gallery, learned about development for their child, they knew they wanted to use their skills to share this knowledge. Through beautiful art at a level babies can connect with and blocks that babies can pick up, these toys offer learning and development opportunities for the smallest members of our families. They are dedicated to producing products in safe facilities and are working to offset their carbon footprint. We love having their products in our shop!

We love our Roll On bracelets! Aid Through Trade makes these fair trade roll on bracelets through artisans who have a fair wage, sustainable work, and positive working conditions! They have been in Nepal since 1993 working with women to provide employment and income. We just got these necklaces in too!

World Finds! This group working out of India and Nepal create some of our favorite items in the shop! We just received their new azure collection, and it is so beautiful. They work with artisans to bring their designs to the US market and create beautiful jewelry out of repurposed materials! They work with local artisans and provide a fair wage and sustainable employment, which is our number one priority in sourcing. From earrings to bags, we love having their products in the shop!

Ganesh Himal Trading! Some of our favorite kitchen good and paper goods come from this crew based in Washington state and Nepal. They have been around since before the Fair Trade Federation and began working under the principles that people deserved respect and fair working conditions. They value their staff in Spokane and in Nepal and work with projects that add values to the communities they work in. They believe in building relationships and see them as their greatest strength. Thank you for your work, Ganesh! We love getting to be a part of your mission here in BV.

Do you have a flower bracelet or a friendship bracelet from The Village? If so, it’s from the ladies at Lucia’s Imports! They create such beautiful beadwork and share it with us in bracelets. They work with Guatemalan families and cooperatives to provide sustainable employment and help them develop a wholesale market for their products. Working with these artisans provides the opportunity for them to share their work across a wider community. Thank you for sharing your work with us, Lucia’s Imports!

They have a mission to put people and the planet first in their business model for more than two decades. They seek to break the cycle of generational poverty, one sale at a time! ABLE! We all love our ABLE bags so much and they have a beautiful selection that has expanded to clothes recently. We have enjoyed seeing how they have grown in so many ways. Their core mission is to empower and create opportunities for women, from their headquarters down to each manufacturer. They choose to value safe working conditions and a living wage in an industry that is infamous for the opposite. We love to see their mission lived out and see the beautiful things they create while they serve women down their whole supply chain!

Andes Gifts provides some of our coziest hats! They collaborate with artisans in rural communities through Peru and Bolivia. While working in these communities, they provide local jobs and partner with artisans to choose seasonal patterns and use local knitting practices. Their products are made mostly with alpaca fibers, which are so lovely! Each of their hats have tags with the artisan who made them. Come see their newest hats and gloves at The Village today!

One of our enduring favorites here in the shop. SERRV has created some of the most consistent standards and serves its partners, employees, and so many communities by establishing clear practices and consistently working with local artisans. This company has served so many people in their now 75 year history! As pioneers in the fair trade world, we are so happy to have their products here in the shop. They have worked for years to ensure artisans are paid as they should be and provide beautiful products for us to see and use!

The Buena Vista Roastery provides us with our delicious coffee! They handcrafted a blend just for us, and we love their practices. They maintain Speciality Coffee Association and Fair Trade certifications, which show that they care about their craft and the people producing coffee, from the plants all the way to you, the consumer! They work to have a positive impact on the community and on the whole of their supply chain.
