ri tai led a wonderful 1st workshop for THE DEAD MEDIA RESIDENCY with an introduction for Hex Editing digital jpgs and video files. Using Hex Fiend for MAC OS students were able to Glitch Media by modifying color and realigning compositions.

For work samples, ariella brought in some of her favorite Real Houseife clips from the Bravo TV Network. The results of swapping hex values produced instant results that were painterly datamosh sequences.

This Hex Editing/Datamosh/Glitch workshop is hosted by THE DEAD MEDIA RESIDENCY and taught by residency artist - Following this event will be an open house of the Squeaky Wheel facility and new art exhibit in the gallery.

·      A Personal Mac Laptop is Recommended but not required

·      Cache of digital images and video clips on a USB stick, drive, or computer.

*Squeaky Wheel also has MacMini computers that are free to use during the workshop.
