These are Mike Tamburo ‘s secret favorite little mallets- the “Hard-Core” and “Soft-Core”. Designed for playing bell plates. But they’re also amazing little gong mallets. They’re like mini version of our Steel-Core Tam mallet. Much heavier than their small stature betrays. Clear and punchy, but amazingly full-bodied. To add them to our catalog or not to add them? … that is the question.

Our “Classical” Timpani sticks are back in stock after a brief hiatus and substantial redesign. These sticks are one step fuller and warmer than our “Baroque” sticks. But still super light, bright and clear. Perfect for Haydn and Mozart- especially those tricky Menuetto movements where a little more blend is needed. Get em on our website or at your favorite retailer.

Our popular Steel-Core Tam mallet is back in-stock with a bold new look and much improved design. The solid aluminum tapered handle feels comfortable and secure in the hand. New interior layers have improved the overall sound quality and consistency of attack. Don’t be fooled by its small stature. This mallet can crank. Get your Steve Weiss Music Gongs Unlimited Thomann

Brand new Steel-Core Tams on the drying rack showing off their good-looks before getting wrapped (with layers of rubber, felt & fleece). This is one of our oldest models dating back to our early days at Juilliard. This latest redesign is the best version yet. Small footprint. Huge sound.
