M1 Garand r***e project complete. This one off custom was designed with the Marine corp K-bar in mind. WW2 M1 R***e barrel and 1084 powder in canister for the damascus blade. M1 butt stock for the scales, black micarta for the guard and the handle with an OD green thin line to memorialize the soldier who carried this r***e in WW2. Caleb Flood and I collaborated on this project and we’re donating it to Brothers Keeper Veteran Foundation to raise funds for our fellow veteran brothers and sisters who need help. First time hardening steel in my new Hot Shot Oven & Kiln this is a collaboration knife with Caleb This knife will be a donation item benefiting a Disabled Veteran Charity “not yet decided.”

The blade is layered steel with WW2 M1 Grand Barrel steel in the layers.

Handle assembly will have wooden scales made from the M1 Grand Butt stock.

I’m really happy with my Hot Shot forge so far. Easy first start and easy heat recipe programming. I highly recommended their ovens for knife makers.

I’ve been focusing on improving my leather crafting for my knives. This project was fun and a learning process. This is a bow quiver is for my niece’s bass. She was accepted into the Governor’s school for performing arts in SC. She is a rockstar, sweet, smart and will be an amazing music teacher one day. I’m very proud over her and this was a gift for her hard work and talents. Thank you to Tandy Leather for having knowledgeable sales people in your Norcross GA store to help make my leather crafting knowledge grow.

Full height flat grind skeletonized tang and swedges on the top of the blade spine. The spine is just proud a 1/4”

Handle assembly:
Purple Heart scales
Black Micarta liners
Black Micarta 1/8” pins

Sheath was also made and designed by me for in front pocket carry.

Fun little project. 416 layer Alabama Damascus Rattler pattern Blood Money scales with black and white micarta liners and a black and white g-10 spacer. White g-10 pins and blade peened with a copper pin.

My “Joe” model 12.5” total length Veggie Cleaver commission. 0.175mm Alabama Damascus Steel - Rattler Pattern Billet. Material = 5160, 15n20, Ni200 folded for 416 layer damascus. Full height bevel ground with a distilled taper. Scales are 3000+ year old Bog Oak with black and white micarta liners. There are 4 1/8” black micarta pins hidden in the deep black.
