Most people recognize blackthorn for its berries. Fewer know the tree’s long, razor-sharp thorns have been used in European folk magic for generations.

Blackthorn spikes are commonly incorporated into protection, boundary, justice, binding, and warding work. They can be used to pin petitions, secure charm bags, strengthen witch bottles, or mark the protective boundaries of a ritual space.

We’ve just added imported European blackthorn spikes to the shop. Each glass vial contains five genuine spikes, ready for your magical practice.

Calling all makers of the strange, the occult, and the beautifully unusual.

Applications are now open for The Crooked Path Craft Market & Psychic Faire, taking place November 28 & 29, from 12 PM to 6 PM.

We’re looking for artists, craftspeople, and curators whose work reflects the occult, witchcraft, folklore, the macabre, dark art, and the unusual. We especially love handmade goods, original artwork, ritual tools, apothecary creations, oddities, antiques, and vintage treasures.

Please note that we are not accepting resellers, with the exception of thoughtfully curated antiques, vintage pieces, and genuine oddities that fit the spirit of the market.

A few important details:

• Market dates: November 28 & 29, 12 PM to 6 PM
• Vendor application deadline: September 12
• Outdoor spaces may be relocated indoors or canceled in the event of rain.

Not all black salt is created for the same purpose.

In this reel, I’m featuring several blends thehurriedhare including formulas for Home Protection, Personal Protection, and Sweet Dreams. They’re a great example of how black salts can be crafted with different magical intentions.

A general-purpose black salt can absolutely be dedicated toward your own magical work. Other black salts are intentionally created with a specific objective already in mind, making them a practical choice when your working has a clear focus.

Before buying any magical tool, ask yourself one simple question:

“What do I need this to do?”

The answer will often guide you to the right tool for the work.

If you could only keep one herb in your magical cabinet, rosemary would be hard to beat.

Used for centuries in both magical and folk traditions, rosemary is valued for protection, purification, blessing, remembrance, and strengthening spiritual work. It’s equally at home in spell bags, candle magic, cleansing washes, incense blends, and ritual baths.

Simple to find, affordable, and remarkably versatile, it’s one of those herbs that every practitioner, beginner or experienced, can put to good use.

Traditionally associated with purification, protection, remembrance, and blessing, rosemary finds its way into countless forms of magical work. Add it to spell bags, dress candles, incorporate it into floor washes, burn it with incense, or use it in ritual baths.

If you only had room for one magical herb in your apothecary, rosemary would be a strong contender.
