A wet Texas spring, I started a dream on top of a old Massie Tractor that my 93-year-old grandfather was driving. My love for growing was cultivated by my grandfather, while harvesting his pink-eyed peas and tomatoes throughout my childhood. I spent a countless hours researching, a year testing, and Spring 2015 established Gilbert Creek Gardens that is located on my grandparents 3.2 acres.

Morgan wrote a sweet review I am so thankful for, " I had to arrange a memorial service for my father from out of state. Blair did a terrific job guiding my choices and suggesting the perfect colors. Everything came out so pretty! The flowers were the perfect balance of formal for the occasion but light-hearted and modern for my tastes.
She is a joy to work with."

I’ve started something new.

For years, I’ve shared little pieces of my life here—flowers, gardens, running businesses, raising kids, creating things, hard seasons, beautiful moments, and all the lessons I seem to learn along the way.

But lately I’ve been feeling like some of those stories need a little more room to breathe.

So… I started writing.

I’ve created a Substack where I’ll be sharing stories about growing things—gardens, businesses, families, faith, and ourselves.

It’s not another place for me to sell you something. It’s just a place to write.

Some stories will be about flowers. Some will be about business. Some will be about faith, motherhood, grief, creativity, or the ordinary things that somehow teach us the biggest lessons.

So if you enjoy the things I share here, I’d love for you to come along.

I have to say… this one felt different. And maybe it was my favorite one yet. 🤎

Our most recent W**e Dinner at the Ice House Gardens was a little more intimate, a little more relaxed, and filled with the kind of conversation that makes you want to linger around the table just a little longer.

We shared w**e stories, good food, laughter, and conversation with people who came together as strangers and left feeling a little more connected.

And this time, I really felt like our w**e + food pairings were spot on. Each amazing course seemed to bring something new out of the w**e—and that part of the evening was so much fun to experience together.

More than anything, I love that these dinners are becoming about more than just the food and w**e. They’re about gathering, slowing down, sharing stories, and creating something memorable around a table.

To everyone who joined us—I’d love to hear from you! 🍷
