What if things could actually change?
Getting Ahead is a 20-week program designed for individuals who are tired of just surviving and ready to begin building a more stable future. It’s for people who feel stuck living paycheck to paycheck, constantly reacting to crisis, stress, and the “tyranny of the moment.”
Through honest conversations, practical tools, goal setting, and supportive relationships, participants learn how to:
• Break cycles of poverty
• Build financial stability
• Strengthen resources and support systems
• Set achievable goals for the future
• Think beyond immediate crisis and toward long-term success
Our next Getting Ahead cohort begins July 9, and space is limited to just 12 participants.
📍 Classes meet once a week on Thursday evenings for 20 weeks at Joshua Methodist Church.
To help remove barriers:
✔️ Free childcare is provided
✔️ Dinner is provided each week for participants and children before class
✔️ Participants receive a $25 gas card each week to help with transportation
