Day 4 – Energyficient Annual Training – Department Breakouts
Our last and final day of training concluded with smaller breakouts and personalized hands-on training. Each department spent hours on a deep dive collaboration to discuss processes, suggest improvements, and tackle problems.

After a long and informative morning, we took a fun break to work out way through more teambuilding exercises. ILP was then on site to showcase their latest products and sponsor an excellent lunch from Chick-fil-A.

An exciting guest joined us for the afternoon. Chris Lee with Des Moines County Conservation took time to inspire us with a Keynote speech – “Take this Job and Love it” and we sure loved having him.

We wrapped up our seminar with a candid roundtable discussion with our President and CEO Chad Palmer. We reflected on a week of learning, workshopping, team building, and getting to know each other.

For the grand finale, we made sure to show our EFS team members one of Burlington’s special treasures. We could not be more grateful to Wade Johnson of MaxLite for hosting our night out at Martini's Grille. We enjoyed good company, great food, and incredible views of Burlington.

Thanks to everyone who showed up, worked hard, and made this week possible. Another big Thank You to the Greater Burlington Partnershipfor hosting us all week. Here’s to another year of growth and success!

Day 3 – Energyficient Annual Training – Leadership and People
We’ve made it halfway through our training week and even all the lighting and thunder couldn’t put a ‘damper’ on our sessions. Yesterday’s focus was internal and everyone got to learn a little more about the various departments and roles at Energyficient that they may not typically interact with. We’re leaving here with a deeper knowledge of the entire Energyficient corporation. We had a great time with our team building exercises that focused on teamwork, and problem solving!
Thank you to Acuity/Sensor Switch for presenting to our group yesterday over lunch and providing Jimmy Johns, definitely a group favorite.
We closed out the day with what has quickly become one of our favorite annual training traditions – a night out at the Art Center of Burlington! Team members stepped out of their comfort zone to put their best brush forward and create some art together. Thank you to Keystone Technologies for hosting this great teambuilding event!

Day 2 – Energyficient Annual Training – Safety and Process
started the morning of strong with an in-depth look at safety and best practices presented by our Construction Manager. Everyone is feeling a little more confident and informed than yesterday!
Thank you to Keith Pierce with Light Efficient Design for showcasing your latest products, answering all our questions, and keeping us informed about what’s coming to the market in 2026. His generosity allowed us all to enjoy a wonderful lunch catered by Billy Sims BBQ.
The afternoon was spent with more workshops and team-building exercises giving everyone a chance to get to know each other better. A few of our executives led an interactive panel and shared their decades of experience with the team.
SLG sponsored our night out in Burlington and we were so grateful to enjoy wine and appetizers at Cedar & Vine. We love to support our fellow Burlington businesses and we’re having such a great time showing off beautiful downtown Burlington to our team!

Day 1 - Energyficient Annual Training!

We’re so excited to welcome our team members from all over the country into Burlington Iowa for the week. The first day of workshops and seminars got us off to a great start. Thank you to RAB Lighting for presenting to our group over the lunch hour and to FORK Catering Co. for providing a delicious taco bar.

As we enter our FIFTEENTH year of business, we’re hitting milestones in both sales and employee size. This conference looks quite a bit different than years before as there are now THIRTY employees of Energyficient Systems Inc, a much more filled out conference room than the ten of us that were meeting here just five years ago.

We’re also taking advantage of our Chamber membership through Greater Burlington Partnership by utilizing their various conference rooms all week. Another hidden secret offered by the Chamber? Company headshots! All of our staff showed up today looking their best for brand new head shots and then we took a walk to Snake Alley for an updated company photos done by Jamie Johnson-Cooper.

Excited for the professional growth and team building we have planned for the week and proud to call Burlington the world headquarters of Energyficient Systems Inc.
