We truly miss being in town and seeing you all each day. We look forward to beginning online sales again soon! We had a little health issue with my leg, but things are getting back to normal and we can continue setting things up for a spectacular Fall season!

Hey everyone! Here’s a quick update on our progress with becoming an online store. Our estate sale in May was a great success! Thank you to Happy Camper Estate Sales and everyone who shopped with us! Within days after the sale, we were able to completely clear out the store. We brought many things home to post online by early Fall. I had to take a break for about a month to help my father find a place to live. Now that things are settling down again, we are back to working on making our home have space for our business. We hope to have items for sale online in September.

We are still helping people locate the toys from their childhood. If there was something you had as a child that you need help finding, send us a message here on Facebook. We will do our best to help you figure out how to find it.

Sunday, May 10th , Mother’s Day, is the day to visit Lizzy’s Playthings at 124 W Front St in downtown Burlington. Furniture, fixtures, housewares, toys, dolls, miniatures, and collectibles are on sale!

If you are looking for amazing prices, check out the estate sale at Lizzy’s Playthings on Mother’s Day. It will be open from 12-4 with numbers being given out at 11. Hooray! Our sale starts tomorrow at 9am!!! Numbers will be given out at 8am! If there’s something you’ve been hoping for, get here early! I’ve seen people lined up for hours before some of the sales I’ve been to!
Today I did a walkthrough and there are some AMAZING deals! Bring a tote bag to help you carry items. There are seven rooms and they are jam packed!!! Happy hunting!

🤯 THINGS YOU’LL HEAR AT EVERY ESTATE SALE

(and what we’re really thinking… just a little 😉)

If you’ve ever spent more than 10 minutes at an estate sale…
you already know:

There are phrases.
There are patterns.

📏 “Do you have a tape measure?”
We do. We always do.

But the pros?
👉 They bring their own 😉

Because when you’re eyeing that “this might fit” piece…
speed matters.

💸 “Will you take less?”
Ah yes. The classic. The legend. The opening line.

Short answer? Sometimes.
Long answer? Timing matters… and so does the day 👀

🧾 “I saw this online for cheaper.”
You probably did.
You also didn’t have to ship it, wait for it, or hope it arrives in one piece.
Just saying.

👀 “Are there more like this in the back?”
If there were… you know we’d have them out 😄
We’re treasure hunters, not hoarders.

📦 “Can you hold this for me?”
We’ve got you covered—with our Hold Tables 🙌

If you love it, grab it and place it there while you keep shopping.
Just know… those tables aren’t long-term storage 😄

Because in estate sale world,
👉 “I’ll come back for it” is often followed by
👉 “Wait… where did it go?”

🚪 “When do the discounts start?”
(Usually asked at 9:02 AM on Saturday 😏)

We admire the strategy.
We also admire the folks already checking out.

🛋 “Can you help me load this?”
We wish we could help everyone—but for safety (and insurance),
your muscles = your responsibility 💪

And our personal favorite…

❤️ “I don’t need this… but I LOVE it.”
Now that is the true spirit of an estate sale.

Here’s the thing…

These moments?
They’re not annoying—they’re part of the rhythm.

Because estate sales aren’t just shopping.
They’re a little bit of treasure hunting,
a little bit of negotiation,
and a whole lot of “you had to be there.”

And honestly?

We wouldn’t change a thing 😊
