The Great Miniature Mischief at Past New & Used

If you’ve ever wondered what tiny chaos looks like, you don’t need a magnifying glass — you just need to walk into Past New & Used on any given day.
Our tiny miniatures have been unusually energetic this week, and frankly, we’re starting to suspect they hold secret meetings after we close.
It all began when the brass mouse declared himself “Commander of All Small Things,” standing proudly on a thimble like it was a royal podium. The brass horse immediately objected, insisting he was “clearly the tallest,” which in miniature politics apparently makes you a natural leader. The ceramic duck tried to mediate, but he quacks dramatically at the worst possible moments, so no one listens.
Meanwhile, the tiny wooden man — hat still crooked, ambition still oversized — announced he was forming a new government called The Shelf Republic. He even wrote a constitution on the back of an old price tag. The miniature cat knocked over three figurines and called it “a strategic maneuver.” The little brass dog fainted (he does that often). And the elegant ceramic lady with the parasol declared herself “too refined for this nonsense” and relocated to a higher shelf, where she now sits like royalty overseeing the chaos.

We’ve tried to keep the peace, but they’re only two inches tall and surprisingly dramatic. So we’ve decided to let them sort it out — or at least fall over in a more organized fashion.
