Fall bulbs are in!

We've got tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, ranunculus, and red spider lilies on the rack right now. If you've been wanting some color in the yard come spring, this is the time to get them in the ground. Plant anytime between now and Thanksgiving and just forget about them until March.

Fruit trees are here and the timing couldn't be better. Fall is the best time to plant fruit trees in NC. Roots get all winter to settle in before the tree ever has to push leaves, so spring growth is way ahead of anything planted in April.

Here's what we have:

🍎 Apples: Honeycrisp, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Empire, Crimson Crisp
🍒 Cherries: Montmorency, Blackgold, Blackyork, Danube, plus Carmine Jewel bush cherries
🍑 Peaches: Redhaven, Cresthaven, Reliance, Blushingstar
🍐 Pears: Moonglow and Hardy Giant Asian
Plums, native persimmon, and Pawnee pecan

The trees are 7-gallon on semi-dwarf and dwarf rootstock, so they fit a backyard and you're not on a ladder to pick.

And for the berry patch: blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, Concord grapes, figs (Chicago Hardy, Celeste, Peters Honey), everbearing mulberry, and hardy kiwi (we've got the male too, so ask if you're not sure how many you need).

We had a truckload of hay arrive today with mostly fescue but we also got some bales of Alfalfa to try out.

The Alfalfa is from Idaho and is a third cut. The price is $21/bale.
