Some Pennies You Shouldn't Pick Up

Veteran Detective Reinhart is nearing the end of his career, when he is teamed up with Lacy, a rookie detective. A murdered fifteen year old girl is found in the mall parking lot, in the back of a stolen van. They find a Ouija board, handcuffs, and a blindfold near the girl. The detectives discover that the girl was dabbling into the occult and the dark web. Things spiral out of control when the detectives find a diary of the murdered girl in a hidden room in her bedroom.

The month of September has been tallied.
We collected $272 for the Burlington Public Library. This total was made possible thanks to our customers! And also, to Christina Farley, who sponsored The Butterfly Effect- a poetry reading at La Boheme Cocktail & Wh***ey Lounge in Downtown Burlington, Iowa. They collected $100 of this.
And also Marty at Burlington Black Water Mini Golf & Mississippi Moon Ice Cream Parlor who contributed a special Sundae during Dolly Days that collected another $40.

Burlington By the Book and Black Water have each matched up to $100 to this month's donations. As did five other local businesses:
River Ridge Dental
Big River Popcorn & Treats
The Broom Closet and Healing Haven South
The Busted Cup on Jefferson
The Beancounter Coffeehouse & Drinkery

That brings the total contribution in new books for the library for September- $972.

NOTE- The Bean Counter and Natural Inspirations on Jefferson also collected funds during Dolly Days- however- the final amount will be added to October's collection.
Dolly Days was a special event in honor Dolly Parton where we stressed kindness.
