It's Gail Boushey- author of the Cafe Book - Engaging All Students in Daily Literacy Assessment & Instruction.
In Burlington for the weekend, we surprised her by having it on our shelves. A recommended favorite for educators.
Thank you, Gail and family for visiting :)

Brand new dollar table by a local carpenter and good friend of the Bookstore. Still full of pre-loved gems- all at one dollar each, and all of the proceeds from this table go to buy brand new children's books for the Read-a-Book program, a local project where new books are placed in the hands of under privileged kids at Christmas.

Rain or shine- Thursdays Farmers Market in Downtown Burlington will bring local author Michael Watchorn to Burlington By the Book where he will be signing copies of his book- Why?

He will be with us 4 to 7 - Thursday June 11th

In this heartfelt and inspiring memoir, the author recounts their Appalachian Trail thru-hike, a journey that challenged body, mind, and spirit. Through hard lessons of perseverance, the author achieved successes they never thought possible. The book vividly portrays emotional highs and lows, such as backpacking in torrential rain, winds, sleet, snow and ice. Experiencing breathtaking vistas to moments of doubt and triumph, to conquering the rugged ascent up Mount Katahdin.
The wilderness reshaped the authors perspective and inspired lasting personal growth and humility. This is a story about courage, healing, and the power of choosing to begin, offering readers a window into the transformative lessons learned while on the Appalachian Trail.

As featured in the Hawk Eye- The Secret of Crapo Park by Sutinem Pappahawk is now available at your local Bookstore! It's a Burlington mystery starring Russ Fry.

In Burlington, some stories are never told out loud.
When local historian Russ Fry begins investigating strange occurrences in Crapo Park, he uncovers whispers of a hidden cave, a forgotten past, and a presence tied to the land long before the town existed.
What begins as curiosity quickly turns into something far more dangerous.
Because in Burlington, legends aren’t just stories.
They’re warnings.
