8 months of going all in 🥹✨

I technically started For Keeps in 2025, but 2026 was the year I decided to make this my full-time business.

And somehow, in those 8 months…
854 books sold.
199 bracelets + anklets welded.
55 markets + pop-ups.

Seeing the numbers written out like this is a little surreal. So much of building a small business happens in the moments that aren’t captured by numbers…the late nights, the ideas that didn’t work, the figuring-it-out-as-I-go, the packing and unpacking, and all the tiny decisions behind the scenes.

But every once in a while, it feels really good to stop and look at how far it’s come.

And the wildest part? Year one isn’t even over yet. ✨

Thank you to every single person who has bought a book, gotten welded, stopped by my booth, shared my work, or told someone about For Keeps. You’re quite literally helping me build this dream. 🤎

Here’s to seeing what the next four months bring!

I made the decision to exit a race I never consciously signed up for.

It’s easy to get caught up in comparison to your peers, friends, family, or complete strangers on the internet. Who’s making more. Who’s further ahead. Who got the promotion, bought the house, grew the business, hit the milestone.

But I’ve realized there’s not much value in winning a race when you don’t even want the prize at the finish line.

For a long time, success seemed like a ladder…hit the next metric, earn the next promotion, make more money, take on more responsibility, repeat.

But there will always be another step.

At some point, I had to start asking, “What do I actually want my life to look like?”

And my answer looks a lot different these days.

I want slow mornings. Afternoon walks with my dog. The freedom to step away when my focus is gone and come back when I can give my best. I want to do something meaningful, but not at the expense of the life I’m trying so hard to build.

I don’t want to spend five days waiting for two.
I don’t want to spend months waiting for a vacation.
And I definitely don’t want to spend decades waiting for retirement to finally feel like my time belongs to me.

I want to create a life I don’t constantly need to escape from.

Maybe that path won’t make me richer than the person climbing the corporate ladder beside me. Maybe it will.

But that’s not really the metric anymore.

The only comparison that matters to me is whether I’m getting closer to the life I actually want—and whether I’m growing into someone I’m proud to be along the way.

So no, I don’t care who’s doing “better” than me.

I’m focused on living better for me. 🤍

The real tragedy would be running out of books to read…

I’m not overbuying books. I’m planning ahead. 😏
