My heart is absolutely broken reading this. 💔

Kenrick was one of Logan’s (my 17 year old) very first friends. They went to preschool together, and I can still remember them as little boys, with their whole lives ahead of them. It’s so hard to wrap my mind around something so heartbreaking happening to a child I remember from those early years.

As a mama, I cannot even begin to imagine the pain April is experiencing right now. There are simply no words for a loss like this, and no mother should ever have to say goodbye to her child.

April, I hope you know just how much love surrounds you. I pray that in the days, weeks, and months ahead, our community wraps its arms around you and helps carry you through the unimaginable.

I’m sharing this in hopes that we can come together for a mama who needs her community now more than ever. If you are able to donate, please consider doing so. And if you aren’t, please lift April and her family up in prayer and surround them with love.

Rest peacefully, sweet Kenrick. You will always be remembered. 🕊️❤️

It is with deep sadness that we are sharing the sudden passing of April's son, Kenrick.

Kenrick was a joy to know - kind, funny, and smart are just a handful of words to describe him. The wonderful son of a community minded mother.

During this difficult time, we are calling on the community to help us lift April up and support her. If you would like to join us in this effort, we are accepting donations on her behalf. 100% funds received will go directly to support April during this time with bills, funeral costs, and any other needs she may have.

❤️ Sweet Dreamz will be CLOSED today! ❤️

Unfortunately, I’m not feeling 100% today, and with so many different illnesses going around right now, I want to err on the side of caution.

The last thing I would ever want to do is potentially pass something along to any of the sweet little ones, expecting mamas, or families who visit our shop. ❤️

I’m going to take today to rest and hopefully get back to feeling like myself!

Thank you all so much for your understanding, patience, and continued love and support. It truly means more than you know! 🫶🏼

✨ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!! ✨

After lots of conversations, prayers, sleepless nights, and a whole lot of faith… Sweet Dreamz is MOVING!!

We’re moving into a much larger space in Burnsville Plaza, in the former US Cellular location, right next to The Find!

This has been such a HUGE decision for Adam and me. We’re excited, nervous, overwhelmed, and honestly a little terrified all at the same time.

We’ve spent so much time talking about what the future of Sweet Dreamz could look like, and after weighing all the possibilities, we’ve decided to take a pretty big leap of faith.

Small business ownership is not for the faint of heart, especially in today’s world. There are so many unknowns, and making a decision like this comes with a lot of risk. But there is also so much hope and excitement in knowing what this new space could become.

We have some BIG plans for this place, and I cannot wait to watch them come to life! More room for families to browse comfortably, a handicap/stroller ramp outside, better parking and more opportunities to bring our community together.

Right now, we’re in the middle of pulling up flooring, planning, painting, cleaning, and trying to turn an empty space into something that feels like Sweet Dreamz. And if you know me, you know I’m going to pour my whole heart into every little detail.

We’re hoping to open our doors at the new location in early November!

I won’t pretend this isn’t scary. We’re investing so much of ourselves into this move, financially, physically, and emotionally. But I also know that sometimes the things worth doing require us to be a little brave and trust that God has a plan bigger than what we can see.

I’m so thankful for Adam, who’s been right beside me through all of the planning, worrying, dreaming, and now the hard work of making it happen. I’m pretty sure he’s wondering what in the world we’ve gotten ourselves into. I’m thankful for my family for having my back and helping get the space ready. AND I’m so thankful to all of you for volunteering your time to come paint, offering trailers to help move us or wanting to help run the shop. My heart is so full.

And to everyone who has encouraged us, supported Sweet Dreamz, and cheered us on along the way… thank you. We truly couldn’t take this next step without the love and support of our community.

We have a LOT of work ahead of us, and I plan to share little sneak peeks as we go!

Here’s to new beginnings, bigger dreams, and stepping out in faith even when your knees are shaking a little.

Update: we are getting flooded with messages with people wanting my participate and we feel so loved, supported and honored. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I think we will plan (to be safe) for November 7th and then that will also be our tentative re-grand opening! Everyone that wants to do the blessing will arrive at 9 and then we open at 10! 

Before we officially open the doors to our new Sweet Dreamz space, I would love to do something a little different.

One of my sweet friends suggested gathering some of the people who have loved, supported, encouraged, prayed for, and walked beside us through this journey to come and help us fill this new space with love before we ever open it to the public.

So we’re going to have a little Blessing of the Space.

Come pray over it, speak love and encouragement into it, send good energy, write a little wish or note for Sweet Dreamz, or simply come stand with us as we begin this next chapter.

My faith is such a big part of who I am and why I do what I do, but Sweet Dreamz has always been a place where everyone is welcome and loved. So however you choose to pour love into this space, we would be honored to have you there. ❤️

This new shop is so much more than walls, racks, and baby clothes to me. My hope is that it continues to be a place where moms feel supported, families feel welcomed, babies are loved on, needs are met, friendships are formed, and our community feels a little more cared for.

Before the first customer walks through those doors, I would just love to fill them with prayer, love, laughter, hope, and all the beautiful things I want Sweet Dreamz to carry into this next season.
