First, Do No Harm
Nature is where many of us go to recover.
To breathe. To move. To clear our minds. To reconnect with the living world.
It makes little sense to seek that experience while unnecessarily surrounding ourselves with materials and treatments we were trying to escape in the first place.
That’s why we begin with a simple principle:
First, do no harm.
We choose wool, cotton, and other natural materials wherever they can do the job well, while reducing our reliance on synthetic fabrics, coatings, and chemical treatments wherever practical.
Not every synthetic material can—or should—be eliminated. Sometimes a modern material remains the best tool for a particular job.
But where natural materials perform beautifully, we believe they deserve a place back in our outdoor lives.
