Our hearts will forever be heavy as we mourn the loss of our beloved Carolyn. She was so much more than the heart of the shop, she was a beautiful soul who touched so many lives & we’re committed to keeping her legacy alive.
The shop will remain open during regular business hours, with the exception of this Monday, we will be closed. We’ll provide updates each week as we navigate the days ahead & work through the many details.
The date for her memorial is still to be determined, but will definitely share as soon as it’s available.
Thank you for the outpouring love, support & kindness. We truly appreciate it in this time.

It’s with deep remorse that we share with you the passing of the remarkable Carolyn Allen Brost, after a brutal battle with cancer, at her home on Saturday, September 5th, 2026.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her knew she was a bright light in this world, bringing laughter and always making people feel seen inside the shop and out.
A memorial service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held at a later date.
Though her presence will be greatly missed, Carolyn will continue to live on through the memories, laughter, & love shared by all who knew her.
Her legacy will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
If you have the means to support Alexandra in this tragic time, it would mean the world to her as she has been out of the shop for two months being her mother’s primary caretaker. If you aren’t able to support financially, simply sharing this post shows your support.
