Over the past six weeks, the Holwerda Floral & Gifts family has experienced some of the most heartbreaking losses imaginable.
Our owner, Cindy, unexpectedly lost her beloved son-in-law who passed away peacefully in his sleep. Our designer, Calli, lost her cousin in a tragic work-related accident. Our designer, Breanne, lost her young niece to su***de.
So often, we are called upon to help others express their love, sympathy, and support during times of loss. These past several weeks, however, we have found ourselves grieving alongside our own families while leaning on one another for strength.
Though we may never fully understand these untimely tragedies, we find hope in the promise of our faith. As Jesus said in John 11:25–26:
“I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.”
Our hearts continue to grieve, but we have peace knowing our loved ones are safely in the arms of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are deeply grateful for the prayers, love, and support shown to our families, and we ask that you continue to keep them in your prayers in the days ahead.
