Another Warrior Wednesday client found her way to me through Phyllis, who has become one of the biggest cheerleaders for both me and this mission. It feels like every Warrior Wednesday, she’s connected me with another woman who could benefit from what I offer, and I genuinely don’t have the words for how much that means to me.

Phyllis also volunteers with Shields of Hope, a West Michigan nonprofit I absolutely adore that surrounds people affected by cancer and their families with hope, encouragement and support throughout their journey.

I’m forever grateful that Warrior Wednesday has connected me not only with these incredible women, but with people like Phyllis who continue to advocate for them long after their own appointment is over. Thank you for trusting me, talking about this mission, and helping the right people find their way to my chair. 🖤

When your Florida colleague reaches out asking if you want to share her winning tickets from Alexandra Mechenici … you say YES without hesitation. 😂

I honestly wasn’t planning to attend PMU World this year. Last year was incredible and genuinely shifted the direction of my career, but this year I felt strongly pulled toward ar**la and paramedical tattooing, so I chose to put my education budget there instead.

Apparently the universe had other plans. 🤷‍♀️

Ink Boutique is where Christie | Tattoo Artist | Fort Myers, Florida and I became friends, and now I get to head back to PMU World Live for another round of education, networking, and probably very little sleep, except this time we’re doing it AT SEA. I’m so excited to spend the week adventuring to the Bahamas with Christie, reconnect with the amazing people I met last year (Browology Beauty Bar , SEE YOU SOON LADY), and continue learning from Sherah of Ink Boutique Houston along with so many other PMU + paramedical artists I admire.

Bahamas, here we come. 🛳️🌴

Before (left) vs. After 2 sessions (right)

After two healed NueRegen sessions, the majority of these raised scars are now flat, and some of the smaller scars were actually difficult for me to locate during her third treatment. This session was especially exciting because I was able to move from a large mag to one of my tiniest shader configurations and complete the treatment in about ¾ of the time.

Her goal was never to tattoo over these scars. She simply wanted them to be less noticeable. At her next appointment, we’ll evaluate what remains and decide whether scar camouflage is even something she wants to pursue.

This one hits close to home for me. My own self-harm scars were eventually covered with tattoos, and while I love my tattoos, I think it’s pretty incredible that options now exist for people who want to soften the appearance of their scars without covering them with artwork.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, and mental health matters. These scars can carry a lot of history, and being trusted to help someone feel more comfortable in their skin is something I don’t take lightly. I’m so grateful to this client for trusting me with hers.

Yes, I tattooed my own eyeliner.
Yes, I tattooed my own lips.
Yes, I tattooed many of my smaller fine line tattoos.
Yes, people are usually mildly horrified when I tell them. 😂

Then they tell me how natural they look.

So basically, I’m my own longest-running healed result.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. 🩷
Warrior Wednesday needs a tagline, and I’ve officially decided this needs to be a group effort. After all, hard things aren’t accomplished or conquered without the support of your village, right?!

For those who don’t know, Warrior Wednesday is my monthly giveback initiative that I started 5 months ago, where I donate complimentary 3D ar**la tattoos to post-mastectomy breast cancer survivors on the last Wednesday of each month.

It’s something incredibly close to my heart, and I want a tagline that captures what it’s really about: healing, reclaiming your body, and that final little finishing touch after one hell of a fight.

It can be meaningful, empowering, cheeky, boob-related… or a little bit of all four. 😉

A few ideas I’ve tossed around:
🍒 The cherry on top of your melons.
🩷 It came. She kicked ass. She got inked.
✨ The finishing touch to one hell of a fight.
