A little kindness goes a long way. ❤️💙

Today at Nelson's Fireworks, we witnessed something that reminded us what Independence Day is really about.

A family came in with a very small budget for fireworks hoping to find a few fireworks to make the holiday special for their child. When they reached the register, they wanted to make sure they hadn't gone over their budget.

Before they could pay, the gentleman standing behind them stepped forward and handed them $200+.

He simply said, "Go pick out some more. I want y'all to have a great Fourth of July."
The family's smiles said it all.

In a world where we often hear about the negative, today we were reminded that there are still incredibly kind and generous people all around us.

To the gentleman who made this family's holiday unforgettable—thank you. Your act of kindness won't soon be forgotten. You made an impression not only on the family you helped but on our workers and everyone who heard. ❤️

This Fourth of July, if you're able, pay it forward. You never know how much your kindness might mean to someone else.

Praying healing prayers for our friends over at Adriana Estates! Go see the July 3 show and may next year be a celebration of more than just our great nation! ❤️

Hey everyone! This is Beatriz Forbes here. We wanted to announce to answer questions about 🎆4th of July this year.🎆
Come see us for a smaller, but still incredible show on July 3rd at Kennedy Entertainment Park: Home of the Hunt County Raceway! ❤️
Unfortunately, we have made the hard decision to not host it the huge 4th of July show at the castle this year as time has been very constrained lately due to daily targeted radiation in Irving taking about 5-7 hours out of my day, every day. While I’m still doing tours, contracts, paperwork, setting up, tearing down and cleaning for back to back events, the extra added hours for this event prep just aren’t there.
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with stage 2 grade 2 breast and lymph node cancer last summer not long after 4th of July. I went through 6 months of red devil and taxol chemo before having a double mastectomy, full hysterectomy, having all lymph nodes removed from my left side and phase 1 of reconstruction. That’s when we found out the cancer spread to almost stage 4 through treatment.
I still have almost a month left of daily radiation before I can start more reconstructive surgeries.
I have big hopes to put on our 4th of July show next year, when I trust God will be giving me healing and recovery from this journey.
We hope to see you on July 3rd while my hubby, Brandon Forbes, does what he loves and puts on a great show for everyone!

We might be a little biased, but we truly believe we have the BEST employees around! 🎆

Our team shows up, works hard, and goes above and beyond to make sure every customer has an awesome fireworks shopping experience. Their knowledge, energy, and dedication are what make Nelson's such a special place year after year.

Of course, we like to think they keep coming back because they love being part of the Nelson's family... but if we're being honest, the incredible food might have something to do with it too! 🍖🔥 (A lot of them are teenagers. Let's be honest-we pay them well but we could probably offer to just feed them endless amounts of good food and they'd take that over pay!)

That’s why we’re excited to partner once again with our friends Mark N Tiffany Sweeney at SWEENEY BBQ this Fourth of July to keep our amazing crew well-fed. They’ll be serving at the @ Caddo Mills Economic Development Corporation Red, White, and Boom celebration tonight and will be back at their regular location next to the Caddo Mills Fire Department tomorrow.

And here’s our suggestion for the perfect summer evening: grab some mouthwatering BBQ from SWEENEY BBQ, then swing by Nelson's Fireworks-Caddo Mills to stock up on fireworks. Great food, great fireworks, and great memories—it doesn’t get much more quintessentially summer than that! 🇺🇸🎇
