W**e + chocolate sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Friday evening.

We'll be at the Nampa W**e Festival tomorrow night at Lloyd Square Park from 6–9 PM!

We'll have a selection of Bluebird Confections caramels and truffles that pair beautifully with some of the wines you'll be sampling throughout the evening.

And with some beautiful fall weather expected, it should be a great night to get outside, discover a few new wines and, of course, add a little chocolate to the experience. 🍂

Some of our fall flavors start long before the first batch of caramel or truffles is made.

We've been making and using our own Pure Vanilla Extract at Bluebird Confections since we opened our shop.

It started because we couldn't find an extract with quite the flavor profile we wanted. And because the ingredients we use in our confections matter to us, we decided to make our own.

We experimented with different vanilla beans, alcohols and processes until we found the combination we were looking for.
The result is wonderfully simple:
No added flavors. No water. No sweeteners. Just Pure Vanilla Extract.

It's something we make for our own confections—and something you can take home for yours 🩵

And don't save the good vanilla just for special occasions.
Use it in the cookies you make on a Tuesday
the pancakes on Saturday morning
or whatever you're baking just because
The moments that matter aren't always the big ones. Sometimes they're the everyday moments we make a little sweeter.

With fall baking season getting closer, it might be time to check how much vanilla is left in your pantry.

We know…white chocolate isn't for everyone.

But sometimes, it's exactly what a flavor needs.

For our fall truffles, we think the sweetness of white chocolate is the perfect match for the warm spices of Chai and Pumpkin Spice.

Our White Chocolate Chai Truffle brings together those cozy chai spices with a creamy white chocolate ganache, while our White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Truffle is everything we love about fall wrapped up in one little bite.
Sweet? Yes.
