A fun TBT from before I started Spartan. I think 2005 ish when I was still shooting my solo cam Matthews Conquest Pro. Bow hunting is one of the things I miss from those days before I was a workaholic.

Some 300 PRC left handed goodness in Burnt Bronze. Deviant, LRH, Hunter DBM, .tech trigger and barrel. That’s about as good as it gets 🇺🇸

This one is for a DTA bull pup rifle. Perfect bore axis alignment, perfect thread fit, perfect headspace and flawless finish quality all the way up into the lands. Done with a 6 jaw set tru chuck which holds the part as securely as possible with equal pressure spread out on all 6 points of contact. That mounts to a back plate that allows me to adjust the bore axis location because it’s rarely centered within the outside diameter. I made a 4 pin spider chuck for the other end so I adjust them both until the precision ground rod is perfectly straight. I do this same procedure on the muzzle ends as well.

Gave birth to another 7 SAUM today. The longer one looks at this Manners NS stock the more little subtle details are discovered. Tom Manners continues to innovate and impress in both design and manufacturing quality. The action is a 3 lug from , a very crispy .tech trigger and barrel. I used a short freebore reamer on this one to allow a seating depth with very little jump and still fit in the confines of a short action magazine box.

Just finished up a small batch of nice hunting rifles for an outfitter client. It’s a mix of Manners stocks, MDT chassis, Defiance Machine and Lone Peak actions. They all had benchmark barrels and Bix’N Andy Tac Sport triggers. This was the first time I’ve seen the MDT bottom metal with a release tab lock and I was impressed. Their lightweight bipod design was also very nice. Cartridge chamberings were a mix of 6.5 PRC, 7 PRC, 300 PRC, 22 Creedmoor and 6 GT. They’re heading off to Mexico and Alaska.

Two more going out today. Each one has a Bartlein barrel, Defiance Machine action, Triggertech Diamond and a Muzzle Brakes & More brake which are some of our favorite brands to use. Top is a 308 in an MDT, folding, carbon HNT26 and bottom is a 6.5 PRC in a Manners Pro Hunter which is an awesome hunting stock and a Hawkins Precision Hunter DBM with low profile, flush fit magazine. That’s the best way to go with the short magnums.

A sniper instructor customer asked to have his take off barrel cut away to show the insides of each end so I thought I’d share. It isn’t something that most users get to see very often.

The .375 Cheytac Victrix build we posted earlier is out in the wild. Initial load work up is amazing with Berger 410’s at 2,950. Weight with loaded magazine is 31 lbs.
