With heavy hearts and tear-stricken eyes, the Heck family shares the peaceful passing of our beloved father, “The Founder,” Dennis. He passed at home, surrounded by his loving family, on August 2, 2026.

A devoted husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, man of the outdoors, pyro enthusiast, a once-in-a-lifetime kind of friend, and the proud founder of Rocky Mountain Fireworks and Fur.

We will grieve his absence on fishing trips, along the trap line, and during every Fourth of July celebration. Although he is gone, his legacy will live on through generations. We’ll always wish we could see him turn his scooter to “rabbit mode” and fly off the curb in the parking lot just one more time. Until then, we’ll carry his stories, his laughter, and his spirit with us every day.

A viewing will be held this Friday the 7th from 5pm-7pm at Flahiff Funeral Chapels in Caldwell Idaho.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday the 8th at 4pm at the home of Dennis and Chris Heck. All are welcome to both. Please reach out if you need additional information

Feeling incredibly grateful that we got to celebrate America’s 250th birthday in our brand-new building, surrounded by the people we love most.

As a family-owned and operated business, we always dreamed of expanding, growing, and creating a better experience for our customers. This year, we got to watch that dream become reality.

It’s been a year full of milestones, memories, and moments we’ll never forget.

To our team: thank you. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment showed every single day. You showed up, gave it your all, and helped make this season one for the books. We simply couldn’t have done it without you.

To our community: Our dream would have never been made possible without you. Thank you for believing in us, trusting us and showing up every single year.

Fun fact!! Brent and Jeannie started dating after working fireworks together at Rocky Mountain in HIGH SCHOOL! They have since celebrated 38 years of marriage, now that’s the kind of the love that never fades🤍🧨

Brent Crane and family have the most beautiful family traditions. They get the ENTIER clan together and everyone picks out their favorite fireworks! A couple kiddos were sick this year, but they made sure not to let anyone out on the fun!They FaceTimed to made sure everyone got their goods🥹🎆

Our friends at prime construction are nothing but a true all-American pyro family. They work hard and make sure to play harder. We use prime construction for all of blacktop needs including our home and our superstore! He is more than a contractor to us but a dear friend.🤍❤️💙
