Often during warm months, keeping the worm bed moist is a challenge. The best way to help retain moisture is soaking a 100% tee shirt, wringing the shirt out well and place directly on top of the bedding. Cover the shirt with bubble wrap. Worms must have moist bedding since they breathe through their skin. Below is a picture of the bubble wrap we use. It is very durable and last a lot longer than the dollar store brand. We purchase this at Lowe's. Your worms will appreciate the moisture.

The worms will do better with their bedding under a porch or in a controlled temperature building. We are in Louisiana and the heat this summer has been awful!
