Scrappy drunkards path. 10 in. template, so this quilt will be a big one. I hope it will be big 🤓When complete I will show you the results.

The first small wall hanging was a quilt pattern from sewing parts online. They have a lot of amazing quilt patterns. This one was from 2 1/2 inch strips. I used whatever and didn’t really measure the strips like I should have. I was just excited to make something different. I plan to make a bigger one soon.

Just binding quilts. I have my four quilts I plan to donate to my quilt guild on the next meeting. Three down one more to go. Actually two more. One of them I have had for some time now. It’s not a donated quilt but a quilt that should be complete.
At this pace my biding should be as good as the pros😂😂😂. I plan to try filament thread next. It’s been in my stash for a while now.

This was a busy week of quilting. All four tops complete. Now for backing. Decisions, decisions…..Always something going on in the sewing room.

Just decided to sew today instead of going out getting retail therapy. I’m using what I have in my sewing room to make quilt tops. This is my third one for the week. It is a nine patch variation with three different styles of the 9 patch. The more complicated one was found on YouTube, which is one of my favorite places to find patterns that are easy to follow. This is the finished product of the video that was previously shown or reel as they call them now. This is cute. I like the colors and needed that extra pop of turquoise to make the quilt top just a little bit bigger eight squares bigger to be exact or better yet two squares bigger because those blocks once sewn together are 16 in.²…..that’s big….wish I had more fabric but when you’re using fabric from a fabric sale, some pieces are a half yard, 3/4 yard , 2/3 yard, so you do what you can do and this is what I was able to come up with. I like it, what about you. Sewing

This is my Jelly Roll race quilt. One of the groups finished in 40 minutes at the competition at the LA County fair, I figured I can make one just as fast. All these prints are from a two dollar fabric sale. The sale was last year in Santa Monica and yes they have one every year. I am using up that fabric so that I can donate these quilts once they are quilted because in my guild, we have to give one quilt during our birthday month. I’m getting a few together so that my quild aaqla can give them away to those in need or to an organization that will pass them out. Happy sewing

Quilt top number one of the week. I’m on a roll now that I went to the Jelly Roll race over the weekend at the LA County fair where it was a sewing competition between quilting guilds. I have my quilting Mojo back after going there and to a meeting this past Sunday. I have missed two meetings so far this year due to traveling family visiting from out of town so on and so forth.
’m back to my one quilt a week, but it seems like I will get all four done for the month if I keep this up cause it’s already day two and I’m on my third. Yay me! So, by the time the weekend rolls around I can do what I want when it comes to my extracurricular activities as well as cook. Maybe barbecue because grocery shopping this month has filled up my freezer and I need room so I can make those Instagram videos of Food that I see that look delicious. I know I’m going on and on, funny me. Happy quilting.. I’ll show my Jelly Roll race quilt soon because that one is complete and really quick to make.
