The building was built in the late 1700's, it housed a cigar shop where they made cigars all hand rolled by the entire family including children. It also housed a shoe shop where they made shoes and repaired them. A millinery shop where they made hats and carried dry goods for clothing, (thus lots of hats at Mrs. C's), The upstairs housed a soft pin bowling alley, a skating rink, they tell me they
even played basketball up there. The days of that mini mall is long over, now it houses The Post Office Mrs. C's and two apartment's, the upstairs remains empty. The crafts are made by members of the community and family members form Sandy's Family. You will find original designs, floral arraignments, paintings, hand painted slates, sleds, flower pots, jewelry designs, hand made dolls, bears, elves, dog coats, blankets, pillows, turkey calls, clocks, wood carvings, doll furniture, home made soap, table runners, bun warmer, candles, baby wearable and blankets and quilts , three trees with handmade ornaments, wreaths and garland, Americana, kitchen towels, and dishcloths, paper towel holders, snowmen, stick horses, Did I mention Country delights, candies, jams, jellies, and assortment of butters and herbal vinegars.
