DAY 33 of our $10,440 goal. 🌸

I’ve been quieter some days than others, but I want to keep showing you the REAL numbers because this entire fundraiser has been built on one idea:

A lot of people doing a little can create something BIG.

Today another $20 came in from someone who didn’t even need anything from the Closet. She simply said she loved the store and was happy to help.

And that $20 moved us again.

$2,278.55 RAISED

$8,161.45 TO GO

$10,440 GOAL

I know $8,161.45 can still look like a huge number.

But I want you to look at the other number too.

$2,278.55.

That didn’t magically appear.

It came from people giving $5.

People giving $10.

People buying a dress, a jacket, shoes or a book.

Someone walking through our door with exactly $25.81 because that was what we needed to hit $2,000.

A family coming back with an envelope marked “Kindness” after we helped them when they couldn’t give anything.

People who didn’t need anything at all but simply decided, I want to help keep this going.

THAT is how we got to $2,278.55.

And that is how we’ll get the rest of the way too.

We do not need one person to give $8,161.45.

We need people to look at what they CAN do instead of what they can’t.

If 100 people gave $5, that’s $500.

If 50 people gave $10, that’s another $500.

If you can’t donate, sharing this costs nothing and might put it in front of the person who can.

If you need clothes or household items, come shop with us. Your purchase helps keep this mission moving too.

If you have items to donate, volunteer time, a resource, a connection, or even just encouragement 🙏🏽 that counts too.

This is bigger than raising money.

I want to prove that we don’t always have to wait for someone with a huge bank account, a big organization or a giant check to come fix things for us.

Communities can take care of their own when enough people decide their little part matters.

So on Day 33, I’m asking again:

I know I’ve been a little MIA over here… but Bloom hasn’t stopped blooming. 🌸

Life has required a little more of me personally these last few days, and sometimes you have to give yourself permission to be where your feet are.

But today I looked down and saw another $10 come in for books and a jacket, and it reminded me we just keep going.

No pressure to show up perfectly. No pretending life doesn’t happen. We simply come back.

And we are coming back at $2,233.55 raised toward our $10,440 goal. 🥹

That number still amazes me.

Every purchase. Every $5. Every $10. Every person who has walked through our doors, donated something, shared our mission or supported Bloom while I’ve been a little quieter…

Thank you.

We’re still here.
We’re still helping.
And we still have a whole lot of blooming left to do. 🌸❤️

🌸 A little Kindness Closet update!

I won’t be at the Closet this weekend, but April will be holding it down Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 11–5! 💕

Please stop in, shop around, say hi and show her some love. She puts so much time and heart into helping us keep this little space going, and I appreciate her more than she knows. 🥹🌸

🥹🌸 WE HIT $2,000. EXACTLY.

And the way it happened makes it even better.

We were sitting at $1,974.19.

We needed exactly $25.81 to hit $2,000.

A woman came through the door today specifically wanting to help us reach it. She had the $25, but she wasn’t even sure she had the 81 cents.

So she started counting her change.

And y’all…

She had EXACTLY 81 cents.

Not 80 cents.
Not 82 cents.

81 cents.

Exactly what we needed to bring Bloom to:

$2,000.00 RAISED. 🌸😭

I don’t know why, but that 81 cents got me.

Because this entire fundraiser has been about showing people that your little bit matters.

And today, 81 CENTS mattered.

We’ve watched $5 become $10.
$10 become $100.
Hundreds become thousands.

And today, twenty-five dollars and 81 little cents walked through our front door and carried us across our first $2,000 milestone.

This is what I’ve been trying to show.

Nobody has to do everything.

We just need enough people willing to do something.

To every single person who helped make up this $2,000 whether you gave $1, donated $100, shopped the Closet, shared our posts, donated items or simply kept encouraging us:

And to the woman who stood there counting her change today…

I don’t think you realize how perfectly you just demonstrated everything Bloom believes in.

$5.25 + $5.00 = $10.25

That moves us:

And now we are only…

$25.81 AWAY FROM $2,000!! 🥹🌸‼️

This is EXACTLY what we’ve been talking about.

$5. $5.25. Little amounts. BIG movement.

We don’t need one person to do everything. We just need a bunch of people willing to do something.

Who wants to help us knock out this last $25.81 and officially say our community raised $2,000 for Bloom?! ❤️

NEW DAY. 🌸 AND WE ARE SO CLOSE TO $2,000.

We are starting today at $1,963.94 raised toward our $10,440 goal.

Y’all… $36.06.

That is literally all standing between us and our first $2,000. 🥹

And when I think about HOW we got here, that’s the part that means the most to me.

It wasn’t one giant check.

It was $5.
$10.
$20.
People shopping the Closet.
People sharing our posts.
A family coming back with an envelope that simply said “Kindness” because we helped them when they couldn’t give anything.

This is community.

Almost $2,000 worth of people saying, my little bit matters.

And it absolutely does.

So today I’m not looking at the $8,476.06 still to go.

I’m looking at the $36.06 standing between us and $2,000 and thinking…

we can do that. 🌸

Maybe it’s 36 people giving $1.

Maybe it’s 7 people giving $5.

Maybe somebody gives the whole $36.06.

However we get there, we’re getting there together.

Everything donated should be something you’d feel good handing directly to another family — clean, working, smoke-free, bug-free and clothing without stains.

Sometimes what feels like a small donation to us is exactly what somebody else walked through our door hoping to find. 🌸
