Think beyond simply walking in and walking out, add music, florals, a vintage car, sparklers, confetti, a grand exit, or a fun surprise that feels uniquely you.

Tipping is not required, nor expected, but appreciated.

Wedding vendor pricing usually incorporates the time, staff, experience, supplies, meetings, insurance, setup/teardown, and level of responsibility.

Tipping is separate.

You should tip if:

• Gratuity is defined in the contract

• You receive goods/services that went above and beyond what you expected

• You want to show your appreciation

The next question, How Much?

A few guidelines:

• Hair/MUA: 15–20%

• Catering service staff: Check contract to see if included. If not, $25–$50 per person.

• Bartenders: Check contract to see if included. Can be taken care of through a tip jar and/or $50–$150 each

• Shuttle/Transportation drivers: 15–20%

• Officiant: $50–$100 or a donation

• DJ or band: $50–$200 per person

• Photographer/videographer: $50–$200 per person

• Florist, delivery/set-up team: $25–$50 per person

• Planner/coordination team: 10-20%, or $50-$200 a person

Always check your contracts first so you do not accidentally tip twice.

Wedding Tipping Tip: If tipping is not in the budget, a thoughtful review, referral, or thank you card is always appreciated.
