Mamas, please let your babies grow up to be cowgirls.
•
Let them experience challenges, heartache and tears.
•
Be an example for them of losing gracefully and winning humbly. Show them that strength of mind is just as important as strength of fist.
•
Show them how to be a hand and a homemaker. Teach those little cowgirls how to care for babies of the human, equine AND bovine variety (often at the same time).
•
Show them how to handle a rope and a green horse. Teach them that kindness always wins and the cowboy code is written in stone.
•
Let them spread their wings and fly but remind them of their roots.
•
And always, always, let them know how lucky they are to be a cowgirl.
