CALL TODAY!
Don't know what to say:
Here you go.
Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I'm a Pennsylvania resident calling to express my strong opposition to Act 57 and how it is being implemented.
I want to make one thing very clear: I fully support keeping va**ng products out of the hands of minors. This is not about children. This is about the rights of adults, the survival of Pennsylvania small businesses, and the state's responsibility to enforce the laws already in place.
Pennsylvania has had laws prohibiting sales of va**ng products to minors for years. Instead of focusing on enforcing those laws and holding businesses that violate them accountable, the state is restricting products used by law-abiding adults.
Pennsylvania was not ready to implement Act 57. There are still products awaiting decisions on the state's registry, yet businesses and consumers are being forced to deal with the consequences of enforcement.
Other states, including Iowa, have faced serious legal challenges over similar laws. The FDA's PMTA review process has also faced significant court challenges.
Why is Pennsylvania moving forward with enforcement while these important legal and regulatory questions remain unresolved?
And why can adults legally purchase flavored alcohol products, but their ability to purchase flavored va**ng products is being restricted?
Adults should have the freedom to make their own informed choices.
I am asking the Attorney General's Office to:
Support a temporary pause in Act 57 enforcement until the registry process is complete and outstanding applications are addressed.
Prioritize enforcement of existing laws that prohibit sales to minors.
Protect law-abiding Pennsylvania small businesses from unnecessary financial harm.
Work toward a fair, transparent regulatory system that respects adult consumers.
We are not asking Pennsylvania to stop protecting children. We are asking Pennsylvania to enforce the laws that actually protect children without unfairly punishing responsible adults and legitimate businesses.
I would like my opposition formally documented, and I would appreciate a response explaining what action the Attorney General's Office is willing to take regarding these concerns.
Thank you for your time.
