🏹 Quiver the Kitken & a story

Me: “I want to make this kitty for you, help me choose the colors.”

Making things for my kiddo will never lose its magic. And as he ages, his color choices become more complex and more interesting. I still guide him, teaching him complementary colors, offering him options. It’s become a fun activity for us to gaze at my yarn collection and dream of what new things mama can cook up. I did draw the line at red eyes for this one, though 🤣

Cheers to we, the makers, who bring magic into an increasingly dark world. I will always marvel at what we can create from a hook and some yarn.

It’s honestly really disheartening how frequently this has been happening. I care so much about this community and I value & will always celebrate true artistry. There will always be literal thieves stealing patterns and uploading them to a variety of nefarious sites. But somehow I feel this pattern mimicking hurts more. It erodes trust, and makes people afraid to release their unique patterns. I know we are better than this.
