First off — thank you to everyone who’s been throwing out guesses about what “89” means. We’ve loved seeing all the theories and excitement.

The truth is… RETRO FIX ’89 was actually conceptualized over 5 years ago alongside other long-term ideas and future plans connected to the Retro Fix vision.

Now, the time has finally come. This isn’t just a name change. This is the beginning of Phase 3.

A new era built around the things we’ve always loved:
retro gaming, anime, arcade, collectibles, culture, nostalgia, and community.

Same passion. New identity. New direction.
And we’re only getting started.

Today we closed the doors to The Retro Fix II TURBO in Campbell for the final time, and our hearts are completely full. The love, the tears, the stories, the hugs… it reminded us that what we built here was never just a store. It was a second home. A safe place. A family.

For over 6 years, through every struggle and every victory, we poured our souls into these walls. Not for money, not for numbers — but to create something that mattered. A community. A legacy. A place where people could belong.

From Charlie, Randy, Andrew, and myself, Rudy — thank you for walking this long, uphill road with us. Thank you for believing in us, for growing with us, for letting us be a part of your lives.

Leaving Campbell is heartbreaking, but it’s not the end of our story. A new chapter is waiting in a new city, in a new space, when the time is right. We’ll share it with you soon.

The climb is hard, but the view at the top will be worth it all.
This is not goodbye. This is just the beginning of Phase 3. Trust the vision.
